Woodbine Shotokan Karate Club Teaches Traditional Shotokan Karate
Welcome all members and visitors!

For more than 12 years, Woodbine Shotokan Karate Club has promoted traditional
Shotokan Karate. Our affiliations include:

Japan Karate Association
International Shotokan Karate Federation
The National Karate Association
Karate Alberta Association

The dojo is
located in southwest Calgary in the community of Woodbine.  See Location
for more information.

Rank tests are given regularly, approximately every four months.  Our students also
participate in local, provincial and national tournaments.  For a brief history of Shotokan
Karate and information on our program and belt levels, see
About Us.

Woodbine Karate Club conducts formal
training classes daily, Monday through Saturday.
See
Schedule for class times.

Besides being an effective method of self-defense, karate is an excellent form of
stress
management and exercise for the entire family
.  Training develops and improves
flexibility, coordination, balance, posture and muscle tone.  It also fosters self-esteem,
self-respect, confidence, focus, commitment and discipline.

Visitors are always welcome.  Feel free to drop by the club a few minutes before a
scheduled training session to meet Sensei and have your questions answered.  You may
also call Sensei Yuri Isakovich or e-mail us for more information.
